  1. A couple of observations;

    The Rothenberg Fine Old Rum label under glass (LUG), which brought $16K this time around @ Morphys, last sold at ABA on 8/26/21012 for $15.5K plus the 10% "juice"; bringing the prior hammer price up to over $17K previously.

    The Rothenberg Fine Old Port (LUG) which brought $16K this time around @ Morphys, last sold at ABA on 8/26/21012 previously for $27K plus the 10% "juice"; bringing the hammer price up to over $29.7K. (a $13K plus hit - ouch!)

    The Old Government an east west crossover brand, is an exceptional bottle, and (in my estimation) hammered low at only $7500~ plus the hammer fees.

    The multi colored Magnolia / Rothchild enamel from Portland is arguably one of, if not the, most beautiful west coast back bars around. It fell short, in my opinion, hammering in this auction for only $9K plus the juice.

  2. Yes, the prices on these were soft this time around. The guys who set the record prices on these are not buying anymore and are selling off their collections do to age, death or something else. However, these are still the top back bar bottles out there.
