W.S. Wright Virginia Nevada


More than likely the first embossed western blown soda from the Pacific Glass Works

  1. Wow! Now there is a color run. Makes my aqua and deeper aqua examples look pretty weak.

    That well full of broken Wright's in Virginia City always gave me pause. Maybe the depository for most of the first batch of Wright bottles blown in June/July of 1863. Apparently they were so poorly made that they were not usable or used once before they came apart. Another order of 24000 bottles was delivered shortly thereafter. I remember seeing shards of some of the Wright's bottles that came out of the well in 1989. Many crazy colors similar to this beautiful run.
