Does anyone have any reports or photos of last weekends Reno Bottle Show. Do to previous commitments I was not able to attend this years show and any information on the show would be appreciated.

I didn't take any pictures at the show, but walking around I did see at Wichmann' s table, a olive green colored Cundurango Bitters scheduled for his upcoming auction. An Amber Dr Wonser's U.S.A. Indian Root Bitters in his for sale section. At another table a square Dr Wonser's U.S.A. Bitters for sale, also an aqua Dr Wonser' s U.S.A. Indian Root Bitters on another table for sale. I ended up buying a Pratt's New Life, A. McBoyle San Francisco medicine bottle in a dark purplish brown color from the 1998 San Francisco dig.

ReplyDeleteThis was really the show of western sodas. While there were a few nice bitters and whiskey's, the real standouts were the incredible selection of western sodas this year. Fred Holabird had a "private sale" off site with some amazing colored soda's available. Joe Salazar had the finest western sodas I have seen at a show including a green Eastern Cider, prussian blue D.S. & Co, lime green Ficken, and a cobalt blue Taylor Chili. A Nevada digger sold a color run of S.F. Glass Works soda's and the nicest Venard S.F. spice I have ever seen in deep lime green. The whiskey's included a beautiful C.W. Stuart's. PMSS, and an olive Jesse Moore. There were a few nice western medicines as well. All in all a good show. DM
Sorry you guys didn't make it Rick. We picked up some nice Boston Sandwich Glass Colognes and a nice early Historical Flask.
ReplyDeleteWe were also sorry to miss the show but were the organizers of the first annual Downieville Mountain Brewfest here in town. A giant success with over 19 micro brewery's and 800 attendees. Lots of beer was consumed over the weekend....burp...
