The colors that we have dug them in are spot-on to the early dot and star Western cylinders Sixths. Plus, the glass on the dot bases comes out of the ground very clean, which is unusual for most Eastern dug stuff we find out West. My dot-base Rosenbaum's that I dug, has every nuance and characteristic of classic 60s Western glass. If you want to see an Eastern NB Jacobs, check out the ones that only have NB Jacobs San Francisco embossed on them. The glass on those is very Eastern looking and comes out mostly stained.

AP

APaphotalinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15965917735736707711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6842291092692051858.post-1059294021449211382017-02-25T22:31:56.619-08:002017-02-25T22:31:56.619-08:00Yes I examined it when it was on display at ABA as...Yes I examined it when it was on display at ABA as part of the Grapentine collection for auction. It is not as large as the "large" size but similar in form. Completely different mold and the only one I had ever seen. It was dug in VC. One of the best examples of a western blown large Rosenbaums variant was the grass green example that was sold by American Bottle Auctions not long ago. It had every nuance of glass characteristics that I look for in early western blown glass. Warren Friedrichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08211597759694178779noreply@blogger.com
