This research stuff is an amazing endeavor that I must take my hat off to all who spend the time, effort, and energy to help us learn about the bottles we love so much. It seems like there are so many "holes" in the documentation of many brands, that we may never know the full story.Westernglassaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13162676128646657580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6842291092692051858.post-79513866402965124542010-02-21T08:31:59.979-08:002010-02-21T08:31:59.979-08:00M.E.

We know they are rare, and obviously were not produced for a super long time. The general consensus is that the embossed bottle was produced in or about 1873. If I put these two little facts together, and turn the magic 8 ball over twice, I come up with this being a 25th anniversary of the discovery of gold at Coloma piece. 1873-1848 = 25. I know the trademark was used on paper labels and billheads, but the embossed bottle may have been a commemorative produced for a very short timeframe. It has "Sutters Old Mill" embossed. Just a crazy thought.Westernglassaddicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13162676128646657580noreply@blogger.com
